Reservations:  Horseback riding is done on a first come, first serve basis.  Reservations are only available for groups of 12 or more...BUT we do not take reservations on Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day weekends.     

Ages 1 & 2:  Children ages 1 and 2 years old may ride double in the saddle with an adult or one of our staff.  This is a general guideline and is based on a number of factors including the size and weight of the child and adult.

Ages 3 & up:  Children 3 years and older may ride on their own horse or pony.  For those that are too young or unable to control their own horse - generally under 7 years old - we will control the horse for them by attaching a rope from their horse to one of our staff.

Older Children and Adults:  Adults and children over 7 years old have the choice between our regular trail ride and our river ride.  The river ride begins on the normal trail then takes you across the river, through the swamp, along the riverbank and back across the river onto the regular trail. 

►The river portion of the river ride is the same whether you choose the 1, 1.5 or 2 hour river ride; approximately 20 minutes is spent on the river and off the normal trails.

Unable to ride:  For those who want to go along with their group on the trail but have no desire to ride a horse we offer a wagonette.  This is a small wagon that is pulled by one of our draft horses and seats up to 6 average sized adults.  The wagonette usually goes at the front of the group so it's great for picture taking.  Reservations are recommended for this as we only have 1 available at this time.  Our wagonette is an excellent choice for parents with infants, the elderly, handicapped guests, etc.  It is not at this time, however, wheelchair accessible.

Private rides are available to ensure that no other parties are added to your group.  There is a private ride fee of $15, $20 and $25 for the 1, 1.5 and 2 hour rides, respectively.  This is a group fee not an extra per person charge.  Based on availability.
